The initial phase of the investment, which included the construction and implementation of the networks, was supported by public funds financed by the European Union under the Digital Agenda, aiming to support investment in broadband in the so-called Rural Areas.
We are bringing to the population and companies of the covered areas, in the municipalities covered in the Central Zone and the Azores where the projects have already been implemented, the benefits of the Next Generation Networks, based on fiber optics, which allow the provision of access to high-speed internet, interactive television and other advanced services, such as telemedicine and public administration and online teaching.
We believe that we have been making an important contribution to eliminating an obstacle to growth, innovation and social and territorial cohesion and to reducing the so-called "digital divide" that separates these areas from the rest of the country.
Follow Fibroglobal's activity here and how we are contributing to the development of the areas where we operate, bringing people and communities together.
